Last fall, my husband and I hooked up with our best friends while they were on vacation. We all agreed it would be a one time thing. But when Bex and Rafe ask us to go away with them again, we both can’t help but wonder if they’ve been fantasizing about us the way we’ve been dreaming of them.
The taste of Bex on my tongue. The sight of the man I love tangled up with his best friend. For nearly a year I’ve been trying to get our pleasure-soaked vacation out of my mind, to no avail.
One more time. That’s all we need. One more trip together, to finally get it out of our systems.
And then we can return home, and put that phase of our friendship behind us. Return to our real lives, where we each only have room for one partner.
Even if we’re all starting to wish we had room for more.
